Role : Database Engineer
Experience :Â 5 – 8 years
Skills:
-> Experience in programming vertical Internet or data rich applications
-> Strong in DB designs and DB performance tuning.
-> Good knowledge of SQL , especially writing and tuning qqueries for large , rapidly growing data.
-> Oracle RAC and Client -Side OCI / JDBC over Unix preferred.
-> Good knowledge of syste programming constructs (FreeBSD / Linux) , HTTP , Java or C++.
-> Should have built/designed scalable transaction rate systems.
-> Aware of testing, release and deployment methodologies.
-> Aware of performance testing and benchmarking web based applications.

Database Professionals
Role : DBA Manager / Principal Database Administrator (DBA)
Experience : 6 – 10 years
Responsibilities :
-> You would be responsible for daily database operations, including backup and recovery, replication and configuration processes and performance tuning strategies for oracle database.
Skills :
-> Should have production support experience. ( min 6 years experience )
-> Supporting multiple databses in a production environment, including both DSS and OLTP data services for very large databases.
-> Hands on RAC / High availability
-> Good knowledge of Dataguard / Standby.
-> Pro-actively monitoring and performance tuning databases
-> Good knowledge of Partioning , materialized views and Resource management.
-> Should be comfortable working with engineering teams to tune sql querries and stored procedures.
-> Creating tools and processes to automate jobs and monitor database performance (Perl / Shell Scripts)
-> Providing day to day (24/7) and rotating on-call support for database applications and user.
-> Experience of at least 2 years in handling people/teams
