Performance Testing
Experience : 2 - 8 years
Skills :
-> At least 2 years of experience in Performance testing, Performance monitoring and tuning
-> Excellent knowledge in end to end Performance testing process and methodologies
-> Hands on experience in one of the industry standard / open source load testing tools (HP Loadrunner, Borland’s Silk Performer, Radviews Webload, Mercury Interactive’s, OpenSource tools – OpenSTA, JMeter etc)
-> Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
-> Working knowledge of Web technologies, client/server computing and databases
-> Working knowledge of computer networks, networking hardware and the Internet
-> Ability to operate independently or as part of a team
-> Strong and assertive Oral and written communication skills
-> Good time management skills; must be able to manage multiple tasks/assignments with staggered deadlines and due dates; must be able to coordinate multiple tasks/assignments for several resources
-> Preferably a development background - Java or .Net with an interest in Performance Engineering
-> Awareness of onsite – offshore model - Desirable
Job Responsibilities
-> Interact with the business, development and, infrastructure team to gather the performance testing requirements.
-> Coordinate with the stakeholders different teams and define performance (non-functional) SLA’s
-> Design workload scenarios
-> Understand the system architecture and identify appropriate monitoring tools.
-> Prepare a comprehensive performance test plan
-> Document performance test design documents
-> Develop load test scripts.
-> Create realistic workload scenarios for Load, Stress, Volume and Endurance tests and execute tests.
-> Analyze the performance test results, document preliminary and summary reports, identify bottlenecks
